This solution can be used to get insights into working postures during the day and analyse if your working environments can be changed to the better.
Cameras register worker postures and an intelligent algorithm analyses the actual poses against ergonomic standards. The differences between the actual pose and the ideal pose are presented on a daily basis, including improvement recommendations.
What problem does it solve?
What is needed to use it?
It improves working conditions and thereby helps preventing work-related musculoskeletal disorders, assembly error rates, error correction costs as well as increasing worker well-being.
camera(s), data processing server, internet connection, ORION context broker, workers consent.
KPI's / Numbers
Who is using it?
Lower error rates by up to 66% and associated cost by up to 85% by improving working conditions.
The solution has not been used so far in Better Factory Experiments.

Pose Detection and Tracking
Pose Detection and Tracking (PDT) is a module that estimates the worker’s pose, performs ergonomic analysis and computes an ergonomic score based on camera images of the workers. By applying image processing algorithms to visual data this solution computes certain postures key figures, like the angles between arms and upper body, indicating the physical stress level of the observed working situation.
