From 4 – 8 July, our partner GLUON, a Belgium-based non-profit art and research organisation that is raising awareness of global challenges, held a Virtual Reality workshop for young people interested in coding and new technologies, supported by Better Factory.
The aim of the event was to help young people aged 14-25 years’ old have an interactive, playful and creative experience with digital tools, and start to think about the real-life applications of similar technology in today’s European companies.
The event was held over 4 days, from 10am-5pm, at the Open MediaLab Erasmus University College Brussels. The young participants fully engaged in the activities, developing an interactive experience based on the video game experience and VR techologies.
The students were given 1:1 advice from the British artist duo Studio Above & Below, got inspired by the Sizing Servers Lab and were able to get their hands on and experiment with Open MediaLab’s tools. They also collaborated together, expressing their creativity and inspiring each other with their designs.
